Brad Prybis, MDBoard Certified Orthopedics Spine Surgeon
Dr Brad Prybis is a board certified orthoapedic spine surgeon who has been serving patients in the metro Atlanta area since 2004. He specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical spine surgery, and complex spinal deformity surgery. Dr Prybis believes the best way to treat spinal problems is with a team approach, guiding patients through the treatment process as if they were a family member.
Dr Prybis graduated from Georgia Tech in 1992 with a degree in mechanical engineering. While attending Georgia Tech, he was captain and a four year member of the Georgia Tech tennis team, as well as competed on the professional tennis circuit. Upon graduation he was employed by the prestigious engineering company, Bechtel Engineering. He then decided to pursue his career in medicine and attended the Medical College of Georgia, completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of South Carolina, and was invited to participate in the renowned spine surgery fellowship with Dr Paul Mcafee, former Chief of Spine Surgery at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr Prybis has a passion for the advancement of spinal care, utilizing his mechanical engineering background to develop multiple patents, spinal implants, and publish multiple biomechanical and clinical research papers. A pioneer in minimally invasive spine surgery, he has had the privilege of instructing many spine surgeons on these cutting edge techniques.
Dr Prybis is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), North American Spine Society (NASS) and the Georgia Orthopaedic Society (GOS). He is married and enjoys spending time with his family, serving with his church, playing guitar, drums and many sports.
