Doug Hattermann, PT, MSPT, ATC, is an experienced physical therapist practicing at the Stockbridge location of Regenerative Orthopaedics and Spine Institute.
Doug received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training and Biology from Eureka College in 1997. While at Eureka College, he participated in several organizations including playing collegiate basketball where the team won the 1994 NAIA Division II National Championship. Doug received his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse in 2000. During his second year of physical therapy school, he earned the Cindi Stoller-Polek Scholarship, a prestigious scholarship awarded annually to University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse physical therapy students based upon attitude, character, and scholastic ability.
Doug is a licensed physical therapist as well as being a nationally certified athletic trainer through the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification, Inc. He has treated numerous patients recovering from spine and extremity injuries, conditions, and surgeries in the outpatient physical therapy clinical setting. Additionally, he has worked with middle school, high school, collegiate, semi-professional, professional, and Olympic athletes. From 2009 to 2014, Doug volunteered as an athletic trainer/physical therapist for the USA Roller Sports speed skating, roller hockey, and figure skating teams during their national competition in Colorado Springs, CO, as well as their international competitions in China, Colombia, South Korea, Argentina, New Zealand, Angola, Taiwan, and Spain.
Doug is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia, the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy, the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association.
