John Tobias Musser, MD Board-Certified In Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
Tobias Musser, MD, FAAPMR, is board-certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R) with subspecialty fellowship training in interventional pain management. He serves Atlanta-area patients at Regenerative Orthopaedics and Spine Institute, which has two locations in Griffin and Stockbridge, Georgia.
Dr. Musser has been practicing interventional pain medicine for the past 10 years, specializing in image-guided musculoskeletal and spine injections to aid in diagnosing and treating common and complex painful musculoskeletal conditions. As a leading interventional orthopedic and pain management physician in the Greater Atlanta area, Dr. Musser is also specialty-trained in orthopedic regenerative medicine treatments and is one of only a few providers in Georgia with added qualifications and training through the Interventional Orthopedics Foundation.
Dr. Musser earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency in PM&R at Emory University. He then completed a fellowship in interventional pain management at the prestigious Shepherd Center – Shepherd Spine and Pain Institute – in Atlanta. Before joining ROSI, he has served as an Attending Physician, practicing pain medicine at the Shepherd Center since 2009.
Dr. Musser is an expert in implanting devices that help patients manage their pain, including spinal cord stimulators and peripheral nerve stimulators - being the first physician in Georgia to implant an FDA-approved peripheral nerve stimulator. In addition to his training and experience in conventional treatments, he has extensive knowledge of alternative pain management techniques. He has been published in textbooks and medical journals and continues to contribute to the field of interventional pain medicine. He has also traveled nationally and internationally to train other pain management physicians.
