Philip G. Ploska, MDBoard Certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon
Philip Ploska, MD, is a nationally renowned board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Regenerative Orthopaedics and Spine Institute and one of the only orthopedic spine specialists in the Atlanta metro area. He provides exceptional care to individuals living in and around Griffin and Stockbridge, Georgia.
Dr. Ploska graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in mathematics and chemistry and earned his medical degree from the prestigious Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington DC. Dr. Ploska completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia Hospitals in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. Ploska specializes in surgical and nonsurgical treatment of disorders of the spine and occupational injuries, as well as arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement. As a researcher in orthopedics, he has pioneered cutting-edge treatment for orthopedic and spine disorders, such as sacroiliac fusion, mesenchymal cell treatment (regenerative orthopedics), and the latest developments in PRP to treat a variety of musculoskeletal disorders.
Notable accomplishments in Dr. Ploska’s career include being selected as one of Atlanta’s “Top Docs” by Atlanta magazine. He has also been named a top regional doctor in orthopedic surgery by Castle Connelly since 2011. Dr. Ploska has served as the orthopedic surgeon for the PGA Tour, the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, and the American LeMans Race Series.
Dr. Ploska is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS) and a member of the Atlanta Orthopaedic Association. In addition to growing his thriving practice in Atlanta, Dr. Ploska often travels nationally and internationally to train other orthopedic surgeons.
