Prevent Hand, Wrist, and Elbow Injuries This Fall
As the fall season arrives and temperatures drop, tennis and golf become two of the most popular activities. Injuries to the hand, wrist, and elbow are common whether you’re playing popular sports or trying out the latest craze, pickleball. The repetitive motion of these sports can lead to wrist sprains, tendonitis, or carpal tunnel syndrome.
If you’re dealing with hand, wrist, or elbow pain, Dr. Lamikanra is here to help! A double board-certified surgeon specializing in orthopedics and hand surgery, she treats conditions from the fingertips to the elbow.
Don’t let pain affect your grip - call today to schedule an appointment.
Experience the ROSI Difference: Where Patients Come First
Have you ever faced an unexpected illness or pain that sent you rushing to schedule a doctor’s appointment? You may have even turned to online searches, trying to diagnose yourself, only to end up feeling more worried and anxious. When you finally make it to the doctor’s office, it’s common to feel rushed and overlooked - like just another name on a list.
At Regenerative Orthopaedics & Spine Institute (ROSI), we’re changing that experience. We know that visiting the doctor can be daunting, especially when dealing with complex orthopedic issues. That’s why our priority is to make every patient feel understood, supported, and well-cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. Our goal is simple: to ensure that each individual feels valued and confident in their treatment.
Founded in 2015 by Dr. Philip Ploska, ROSI was established with a commitment to putting patients’ needs first. Dr. Ploska’s vision was to create a practice where patients receive the time, attention, and high-quality care they deserve, while also being educated on their condition and treatment options. With this foundation, ROSI has become more than a healthcare provider - it’s a partner in every patient’s journey to recovery.

Understanding ACL Tears: How Football Injuries Can Impact Knee Stability and When to Seek Expert Care
As football season kicks off, injuries on the field are inevitable. Take the Cardinals’ linebacker, BJ Ojulari, for example - he’s out for the season due to a torn ACL.
An ACL tear happens when excessive force causes the knee to bend or twist beyond its natural range. Think of the ACL as a strap that keeps your knee stable, preventing too much bending or rotation. When it’s torn, that stability is lost.
If you’re experiencing knee swelling, instability, or pain when standing, you could have a torn ACL. Don’t wait - schedule an appointment with Dr. Steven Rayappa, our sports medicine expert who has treated professional athletes from the Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins. He specializes in shoulder and knee conditions.

In-Office Wide Bore MRI at New Stockbridge Location
At our new state of the art orthopedic center in Stockbridge, we are now able to perform patient MRI scans in-house using wide bore MRI technology. For years, conventional open MRIs were the only options for a large number of patients. With the classic open MR technology, the sides were open, and you could see out all the way around. These systems, however, did not produce the same high-quality images that physicians were used to.
The main reason these new wide bore machines have become so widely popular is that they have allowed those patients who cannot fit into conventional MRI machines — for example, larger patients or patients with wide shoulders — the option to have MRI tests done. Additionally, patients who are claustrophobic find that wide bore machines are much more comfortable.
New On-Site Advanced U-Arm Imaging System
The Advanced U-Arm Imaging System delivers image quality with excellent bone and soft-tissue visualization from a single study exposure, giving our physicians the clarity to reach diagnoses sooner. The system swivels into place, producing high-resolution images while a patient is standing, sitting or lying down—which can help capture the imaging needed for confident diagnoses during a single office visit.
